On March 5, 2020, ELLWOOD hosted High School Engineering Day.

The event featured nine Lawrence County schools and was a huge success.

The visiting schools were: Neshannock, New Castle, Riverside,LCCTC,Union, Lincoln, Mohawk, Laurel, Wilmington

Participating Juniors or Seniors in Lawrence County who are thinking about engineering as a career were given an up-close look at a day-in-the-life. During their visit, students made presentations on their assigned engineering challenges, toured the facilities at ELLWOOD and heared directly from engineers working in the field. Students were also advised on the types of classes they can expect to take as well as earning potential should they decide on this career path.

A special congratulations to New Castle, Lincoln and Riverside for winning their respective engineering challenge.
