ELLWOOD Texas Forge Houston manufactures some of the highest quality closed-die forgings in the world. With our 11,000 ton hydraulic forging press—unusual in its ability to forge simultaneously in the horizontal and vertical directions, enabling creativity in forging design and producing unique shapes other forgers cannot offer—and 6,000 ton vertical hydraulic press, we are able to forge steel, nickel-based superalloys, and titanium parts up to 5,000 pounds in weight.
The forging process is controlled by a state of the art computer system that tightly controls forging speed, tonnage, and press position. We make extensive use of finite element analysis software to 3D-model our die designs and forging processes, cutting development time and improving quality and efficiency. Our Quality System can employ computer coordinate measurement (CMM) inspection to ensure we achieve the tightest of tolerances. We are proud of our hard working, flexible operating crews whose extensive cross-training enables us to keep production moving at all times.
