ELLWOOD Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that John Christian Dalton of Wooster, OH is the recipient of the third annual $25,000 Metallurgy Scholarship. Christian is a junior college student at Case Western in Cleveland, OH. He is majoring in Material Science and Engineering and carriers a 3.58 GPA. Christian is President of the Undergraduate Materials Society and is a member of the American Foundry Society.

EGI will also award $1,000 scholarships to both Spencer Nast and Scott Olson, who were both finalists for the scholarship. Spencer is a junior at Missouri University Science and Technology. He is majoring in Metallurgy. Scott is a junior at Lehigh University. He is majoring in Material Science and Engineering.

All three finalists were provided with tours of ELLWOOD?s manufacturing facilities in New Castle, PA and had the opportunity to speak with several of the Company?s metallurgists, engineers and other company representatives.

A presentation of the scholarship will take place at Case Western in January 2010. Also in 2010, Christian will be scheduled to complete an internship within an ELLWOOD business unit.
