A 50/50 joint venture between ELLWOOD City Forge Group and Scot Forge, North American Forgemasters operates two hydraulic forging presses including the Western Hemisphere’s largest at 10,120 tons. Bringing to bear the combined metallurgical knowledge and open-die forging expertise of the industry’s two premier suppliers, North American Forgemasters leads the way for ultra-large forgings in the United States.

Between the phenomenally productive 4,500-ton press and the state-of-the-art 10,120-ton press with full automation capabilities, 220-ton rail bound manipulator and 110-ton mobile manipulator, North American Forgemasters converts more than 100,000 ingot-tons into forgings per year, including ingots up to 185 tons in weight. Combined with the heat treatment and machining capabilities of the partner companies, North American Forgemasters is the only fully integrated American supplier of the largest forgings for defense, marine, and nuclear applications.
