Effective the end of 2008, Ake Sundvall has retired as President of ELLWOOD Specialty Steel (ESS), an ELLWOOD Group company. Under Ake’s strong leadership and clear vision over the past 17 years, ESS grew from a start-up to a leader in quality mold, tool and die steel distribution. ESS expanded operations from the corner of a forging conditioning building to multiple companies and locations in the U.S. and Canada under Ake’s able direction.

Ake and his wife Kerstin plan to pursue an active retirement with family, travel, hobbies and relaxing in warm weather. ESS and the entire ELLWOOD Group thank Ake for his many contributions and wish him a long and healthy retirement.
