The ELLWOOD Metallurgy Scholarship
ELLWOOD is proud to offer our Metallurgy Scholarship to college juniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science with a concentration in metallurgy. The scholarship is awarded annually to deserving and talented metallurgical students who exhibit a true interest in the heavy metals manufacturing industry, and specifically in ELLWOOD.
In addition to the $15,000 scholarship, the winner receives a paid summer internship at an ELLWOOD business unit. Plus, up to three $5,000 scholarships are awarded to finalists who complete paid summer internships with ELLWOOD.
Since the inception of the Metallurgy Scholarship, ELLWOOD has awarded more than $300,000 to our scholarship winners and finalists.

Metallurgical Engineering Development Program
Formerly called the Metallurgy Loop Program, this entry-level, rotational position provides recent graduates with exposure to the products and processes of ELLWOOD companies at our manufacturing locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Texas.
During the approximately 20 month MED Program, successful applicants provide technical support for various phases of materials processing, utilize independent judgment to support colleagues solving operational challenges in a fast-paced organization, work with operations to ensure the effective execution of a rigorous quality program, and assist with experimentation of new materials and processes to expand and improve ELLWOOD’s end products.
