Effective June 10, 2017, Gulfco Forge Company, LLC has purchased the assets of Gulf Coast Machine & Supply Co. Gulfco Forge Company, LLC (Gulfco or GFC) a manufacturer of open die forgings and rolled rings will be a division of ELLWOOD Group, Inc. (EGI).

The acquisition of Gulfco will bring key synergies to EGI and position Gulfco for long-term success and financial stability. Gulfco’s site history goes back nearly 100 years providing forging solutions to the energy and industrial markets. Going forward, Gulfco will work in concert with other EGI entities providing high quality open die forging, ring rolling, heat treating and machining services to its historical markets and those currently served by EGI.

Gulfco will be integrated into EGI’s Texas Operations led by Richard Allender and Mark Miller, recently promoted to General Manager of GFC. Richard and Mark have over 50 years of industry experience and will lead EGI’s efforts in developing a new organization, offering high quality and competitive products to our southern markets.
