Effective September 30, 2016, John R. Paules will retire from EGI after 19 years of service. John has agreed to participate in metallurgy project work going forward as a consultant and advisor, and we are grateful for his willingness to continue to share his expertise.

In 1997, John began his EGI career as General Manager of ELLWOOD Materials Technology (EMT) where he was responsible for the research and new product development efforts involving open and closed die forgings as well as iron castings. Upon his promotion to the newly created position of CTO in 2015, John expanded research and development across all of EGI by assisting in technical service to customers, developing a talented EGI team of metallurgists, and integrating state of the art metallurgical software and lab equipment.

We shall miss his vast technical expertise, dedication, and subtle sense of humor on a day-to-day basis. He will be remembered as the consummate professional, so generous in mentoring and assisting customers and his EGI colleagues.
