Lawrence County 11th and 12th grade students were given the opportunity to participate in the 2019 High School Engineering Day at the ELLWOOD facilities in New Castle on Thursday, March 7, 2019.
This event gave any Juniors or Seniors who are thinking about engineering as a career an up-close look at a day-in-the-life. During their visit, students made engineering-related presentations to attendees, ate lunch with ELLWOOD employees, toured the facilities at ELLWOOD and heard directly from engineers working in the field.
Students were also advised on the types of classes they can expect to take as well as earning potential should they decide on this career path.
This annual event was a joint effort by Lawrence County School-To-Work, Inc. and ELLWOOD.
